About Harley Puppies
**Please read this before inquiring about a puppy**
Because we are a small breeder, we provide a home-like atmosphere. Our puppies are very well socialized with humans (adults and children as you can see below) and other pets, including cats, while they are here. They are used to a busy household from day one so when they go home, there's not much that surprises them!
The puppies will have their dew claws removed, receive their first two sets of shots (5-in-1) and will be de-wormed, all are microchipped (and we require that the microchips be registered before taking the puppy home) and vet checked before they go home. We obtain all genetic clearances for both parents of every litter. They are each certified free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and clear of inheritable eye disease by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). We will provide you copies of each parents' certifications. We also guarantee the general health of your puppy when it arrives to your home. We do a lot of research to do our very best to ensure that we don't pass on or breed genetic defects. We screen parents as thoroughly as possible to also reduce this risk. A lot of time is taken before a breeding even takes place.
Each puppy will go home with their own "puppy package" containing copies of all of the above clearances, contract, AKC paperwork (Limited Registration), their own pedigree and each parent's pedigree, color pictures of both parents and, if we can, pictures of other ancestors, literature and articles on Labs, training and other information, catalogs for Lab goodies, Just Labs magazines, microchip instructions and all health records pertaining to your puppy.
We require a written contract insuring you will in turn take proper care of your puppy. We sell all of our puppies with Limited Registration. We require a spay/neuter contract and first right of refusal. We carefully screen all buyers so if we ask a lot of questions, it is just to ensure the best placement for one of our puppies. I'm sorry but we will NOT ship a puppy unless the new owner will be picking up the puppy personally and accompanying it home. We require to meet all prospective "parents" in person before we will place them with a puppy.
So if this is not possible then try a local club for a breeder near you. If we don't have a puppy for you then you might also try our Links page for some other local breeders whom we trust.
In order to get the best, you're
usually going to have to wait. So once you've found a breeder you like,
get on their waiting list and wait! Reservation deposits are asked for to hold a place for you on our waiting list to choose a puppy from our next litter.
We are a small breeder and we do very limited and selective breeding so waiting lists are often full before the puppies are even born. Deposits do not guarantee a hold of a specific puppy, only a place on the list of choosing one.
Picking order is determined by the order in which deposits are received, therefore puppies are granted to those in the same order.
If there is not a puppy available for you or not one of your preference, your deposit will be refunded.
Deposits are refundable for ANY reason (ie you find another puppy or
change your mind) and we may return a deposit for ANY reason. We have the
right to NOT sell anyone a puppy and may return a deposit for any reason.
